all moved in

It took several trips, but finally I'm out of the dorm and into my apartment in Philadelphia (though half my stuff is in a little climate-controlled storage unit in Lawrenceville--minus my books and my large appliances, it still took many trips up and down in the elevator).

I also managed to buy a table off Craigslist and a couple of chairs off Tigertrade (the Princeton version of Craigslist), so I no longer have to sit on the carpet eating off boxes. This is a great improvement.

Since I did a lot of unpacking and putting away stuff yesterday, this morning I'm taking it easy. I finally got around to trying out Pandora, an free online streaming music service, and it's fantastic. If you haven't tried it out yet, you should! It creates "radio stations" customized to your taste. Of course, it guesses wrong sometimes, but I've managed to find several new songs and artists that I'd never heard of before by listening to Pandora.

Moving

Packing and moving are really no fun at all.

I will be in Philadelphia this summer to do research at the rare book collections of the U Penn library. I am looking forward to getting to do some research, but getting myself out of Princeton housing and to Philly is another story. Twenty boxes of books, plus ten more boxes of papers, and then clothes and dishes and furniture...and then I move back to Princeton again in just a few months. I'm trying not to think about that too much since I haven't even managed to get out of Princeton yet.

To top it all off, today it is pouring down rain!
